Contemporary Architecture

This collection is based on modern Architecture of the 1950’s, it was while researching the modernist city of Brasilia, the Niemeyer house ‘Canoas’ and the modern architecture of Zaha Hadid that inspired these pieces.

I have been developing curved asymmetrical shapes for some time, the figures often reminding me of people and a family when they are grouped together. The grouping of my work is important to me, the negative space between the curved vessels is visually as important as the piece itself.
